1		SELF	This word in common usage denotes the 'subject' of experience as contrasted with the 'object' of experience. The first person singular pronoun of 'I' (the grammatical individual identity) and 'EGO' (the psychological individual identity), both refer to the word SELF. Spiritually, the word Self indicates a noumenal substratum, defying space-time definition, which brings-forth infinite manifestations as phenomena. These manifestations get nourished for a while and subsequently get dissolved back into the unfathomable noumenal state. The convention is, this noumenal state is denoted with a capital letter "S" as 'Self', whereas, the microcosmic individuality of ego is indicated with lower-case "s" as 'self'. The spiritual journey is that the small self of individuality should merge back tracelessly into the ALL encompassing "big" Self.
